I recently read an article that talked about the blandness of most people’s homes because almost everyone is so focused on eventual resale. I realized that I too was very focused on resale some time in the future, and made decisions accordingly when doing improvements rather than putting my own personal tastes and preferences first. So my new mindset is to create an environment that pleases me! Bring on the intense color, mid-century design, crazy wallpaper in the bedroom…. You know what? If I ever decide to sell, I am sure I will figure it out.
