As we approach the end of summer its always good to take stock. Thank goodness we as a community by following strict protocols have been witnessing record low Covid 19 cases as reported by Montefiore Nyack Hospital.
We experienced Tropical Storm Isaias in August, which knocked down trees and power lines, but we got through relatively unscathed.
Over the past few months we have witnessed Nyack Village’s reopening. This has not been an easy process but we are proud of our local merchants and their efforts to respond to very difficult and changing circumstances. I call this effort to adapt the Pivot. We as real estate agents have certainly been forced to pivot. Just last night as we drove in to one of our favorite restaurants Vietam Central for takeout we noticed much more activity on the village streets. Unfortunately mother nature shortly chased everyone away as the skies opened up.We must support our local merchants. This month, we welcome three new businesses to Nyack: “Abigail Rose & Lily Too” on South Broadway, Main Street says hello to “Crossroads” for home decor and “The Henry” a gastropub named for Henry Hudson! – opening soon!
