If you are looking for a great new restaurant in the Nyack area I have the place for you. It is called Nova Kitchen – Restaurant and Bar. Their Facebook page describes the restaurant as “Upscale restaurant located in Blauvelt, NY serving modern American cuisine. Great ambiance, friendly owners and attentive staff!” Well all that is true, but that description does not do it justice. From the moment you walk in Nova is a wonderful experience. It is a large space tastefully decorated and well lit. The staff is amazing. You really can tell that they have been trained well. Our waitress was wonderful and even though the restaurant was full she always found time to check in with us to make sure everything was to our liking. The first time I went I had the Bronzini which was incredible, and my husband said his steak was the best he had ever had. Our second visit we both got the Zuppa di Pesce which was a thing of beauty to behold and even more delicious than it looked. We ended the meal with expresso and a berry tart which was a work of art. This is a place that must be experienced, but you must plan in advance as they fill up really quickly – reservations a must.
