Nyack Memorial Park is a very special place for many reasons. As a Nyack real estate agent one of the first places I show home buyers as I give a tour is the park. You can’t help being awed as you walk around the park with its Hudson River views. If you like Kayaking you can self launch right from the shoreline located in the park. The Nyack Park Conservancy just made it possible to add a brand new Splash Pad in the park where the kids can go in the summer heat and stay cool. Right next door to the Splash Pad is an incredible playground with incredible, new equipment for the kids, and a slide built into the side of the hill. There is a baseball field, basketball court, and yes we even have a skatepark. It is a wonderful place to take a stroll with friends, family and the family dog if you have one. Let us not forget that the reason it is called Nyack Memorial Park is that it is also there to remind us of former Nyack residents. There are several places located in various locations that are meant for us to reflect on the lives and sacrifices of others.
